We're The Bad Guys EP27 : Monologue
Everyone on earth is talking about Ukraine and Russia right now. The propaganda machine is in synchronized mode when it comes to war typically, and this time is no different. Aside from Tucker Carlson, Fox and all of its competitors on the left, are in lockstep. Funny, to see all of the media companies, owned by the companies who are owned by our global oligarchy start agreeing with one another again...just like after 9/11, during Covid (still!), and now Ukraine. Right and wrong suddenly become objective to them again. They say threatening people and even the use of violence is acceptable now. War is basically The Establishment's version of the movie The Purge and there are no heroes left in The Establishment, only bad guys.
Now I could make many other references to describe what I feel the future holds for this conflict, but this week instead of classic movies, music, or even old science fiction television shows...this week I'm gonna use the best comparison in entertainment to the world of politics...professional wrestling, and in a strange coincidence (like those really exist anymore) I came up with this comparison many days before finding out about the condition of wrestling legend Scott Hall. Much love goes out to the Bad Guy and his family and friends, but this comparison I'm about to make may have come to a different conclusion than I originally intended after hearing of the news of him being taken off life support today.
Hall was an equally influential and troubled figure. Much like our own western nations right now. He was involved in many conflicts over the years, some that make you proud to be a fan and some definitely not, again just like our governments, but Hall was more of a story of redemption in his later years. I guess I still hold out the same hope for our nations. Perhaps like in Hall's case we can try to make things right before what we are becomes something else?
Now here's that comparison:
An infamous moment in wrestling history is something known as "The Finger Poke of Doom." which comes from when WCW was in competition with Vince McMahon's WWF in the 90's. WCW, with their N.W.O. story line (fitting, yes?) was beating WWF at one point and it all went downhill after an angle where the N.W.O. separated into two different factions, the Wolfpack and Black and White.
These two sides went to war with one another and Kevin Nash (longtime friend and tag partner of Scott Hall) of The Wolfpack ended up with the World Heavyweight Championship, instead of Hulk Hogan, who was always the champion and leader of the original N.W.O. , now called the Black and White.
Nash, of the Red and Black Wolfpack (who borrowed its hand gestures from The Turkish Wolf salute that the Turkish MHP does, which is labeled as a far-right/neo-fascist group who opposed the U.S.S.R./Russians of all fucking things) when he eventually wrestled Hulk for the belt (Nash), he allowed Hulk to poke him in the chest, Nash fell down, and he let Hulk pin him for the belt. After the pinfall they stood up and celebrated together.
The crowd who got emotionally involved in the feud between the two factions for the past several months were pissed. The storyline was meaningless. The two sides were really the same side all along and the plot was just to get the championship back to the corrupt Hollywood Hulk Hogan character whom everyone had grown bored with.
WCW never recovered and soon was eventually sold to Vince McMahon. The establishment in wrestling won and has continued to dominate the industry till this day.
If we can expose these fuckers trying to do the same thing in Ukraine before they get to celebrate after whatever finger poke of doom they have planned to end this, I will be very happy. Before the establishment sells us the ending to the story that they plan to tell us. Imagine if the crowd knew of the swerve that was about to happen from the internet and started booing the two factions cuz they knew their beef with one another was a con?
What if they tuned out or stopped showing up because the angle made no sense and waited for the business to shuffle the deck for a little while before settling back into the status quo?
You think the executives and writers may have changed direction?
Maybe, they were pretty terrible at their jobs back then, but our government is arguably just as inept and corrupted that it may not notice a large contingent of the population turning away from them. If the War On Terror was the WCW PPV featuring Robocop then the pandemic was the Shockmaster's WCW debut. If we can bypass the mistake of the Finger Poke of Doom and focus on our other talent and ideas (back then WCW had a deep roster of legends) we as a country can eventually ween ourselves off of the toxic dependency on the institutions that have lied to, failed us, and even cost us lives if not murdered us with their poisonous products.
Maybe things are meant to fall apart? Maybe the house always does win? So why do we still show up to the casino? If we hate the show, why do we watch? If the government or company hates us, why do we pay them? Why do we enable them?
Comfort, complacency, fear, laziness...I could go on forever and I'm no example either. We all are wrapped up in this world controlled by corrupt governments and their donors from Google to The IMF. The question is how do we get off the ride that they wanna take us on?
Do we tune out, do we disrupt, do we separate, do we go to war? So many questions that I feel like no one is answering and its because we are not answering them ourselves.
If our politicians thought their sons and daughters were a worthy sacrifice to protect the liberty of Ukrainians they would be there. If this war is a threat to our livelihoods, our dollar, and potentially our lives then we can't just change the channel. We have to confront the problem which is not just our federal government but our reliance on it. The things we enable it to do on our behalf, The War on Drugs, Terror, and Covid should have taught us this lesson by now but we're back here at the first couple checkpoints in a game that we've played already. We're looking around and we know that we've done this before but we're going through it again and not saying anything. Well, except us and you all listening.
How does this conflict end? Is anyone gonna march into or bomb Russia? I don't think so.
Who does this benefit? I think the Chinese are happy to have their own captive energy market to produce all of their products for The World Economic Forum to distribute to all of us. Looks like the house wins again huh?
But if the Establishment doesn't care that we want to take our business back into our hands and not the blood soaked hands of war profiteers then we gotta get a hell of a lot louder, take back what institutions we can, and reform them or abolish them. To make sure that they never have the chance to make us murder each other for their gain ever again.
The wrestling industry survived WCW's collapse and WWE's monopoly because of the smaller independent companies. Companies willing to take the risk to do something different. Sometimes a hell of a lot more dangerous and bloodier. But for the people I admire most that came from those times it doesn't matter if it's a stadium or a bingo hall they do it for all the right reasons which is for love. Love of what they do and the people they do it for. That love is what creates new opportunities. New ways of making money. New ways of thinking. Ultimately, new ways of succeeding.
That's the love our audience has. And we'll bring it to ya and maybe a couple chair shots if needed but we're gonna win our belt back. And if it ain't vitamins and prayers its gonna be coffee and metal lyrics motherfucker...fueling it, but the Establishment, the War Mongers, and The Corporatists are gonna be doin the job and we're gonna flexing on top of the turnbuckle while our music plays. Ted Dibiase used to say "Everybody has a price." but it always meant that people could be bought. How about everyone in the Establishment has a price, and we all make them pay it? What will they do when we run wild on them my brothers and sisters?
Come back each week, bring some friends, and lets fuck around and find out.
