No Clear Penalty TNP LIVE EP99 : Monologue
In the two years that I've been podcasting, my outlook on certain topics has changed radically. Things that spark those radical changes have been realizations from the conversations I've had with guests and listeners but the ones that I get to have with my Contributors have put me in a completely different perspective than I maybe never would have arrived at in such a short period of time.
We all take our own path to understanding and time is a determining factor in the actions we take. So when a public is fooled or scared into giving up more of their Liberty in exchange for slavery there will be some of us who pick their head up and look around and say “Well this is fucking stupid, I'm out!”
Now in this situation the person having the epiphany about their place in life and the hierarchies of power may be entirely alone in this realization. That feeling is dreadful. And there's good reason why, humans don't survive too well on their own.
With all the fancy technology in our pockets and built into our cars and all the wonderful toys this modern world has to offer, very few things actually help you sustain life this way. You may have a new iPhone that projects holograms of Slave Leia twerking to Jabba being voiced by DJ Khaled but if the power goes out you'll be twerking for knock off cans of Chef Boyardee in a few days. But because of that effect, the idea of the GCO cutting off the masses from power and letting them starve is too disruptive. So instead, another tactic is to target people individually.
Now, in normal circumstances this would make things more difficult to pull off but here's why it's easier now more than ever, because we all live such similar lifestyles to one another. We all shop in the GCO stores online or in person, we all have one of their phones and the towers to connect it close to us, and we all eat and drink from the same GCO trough. Except those that don't, and those folks are rare. Because again, its hard to live on your own or isolated from the rest of society. That doesn't make it impossible or improbable even that you and I can and potentially will break from the system but if we are to be honest, do we have the time?
There will always be folks lightyears ahead of the curve. Those folks are usually so utterly alone that they still stick out when their stories are told decades if not centuries after. The steps certain people are making in developing and sustaining life outside of the GCO's sphere of influence are being taken. There is a growing audience of people at this and other similar shows. We are finding one another and things about each other that help understanding and to create better partnerships, private to private ones that is. But ultimately I hold no expectation that I will see an utopian dream. The radical change is that I no longer care if I do because my idea of that dream is incomplete.
I can't draw you a straight line from here to freedom. The way that we get out of this Corporatist trap that we give our time to every day. I wish that time could be spent with family, producing life and things that sustain life, and in words, images, and song we can teach each other the lessons we've learned without censorship from above. But that final place can never be because there will always be those that will exploit other people. Have them compete against one another. Punish those that do wrong and harm others. And ultimately the power held in the hands of most to kill if necessary will be on the table. I may reject the idea of taking human life, but that doesn't mean others don't or won't.
And what happens if I go away, and all these great realizations disappear with me into the ether?
Well the answer there is leaving a legacy where people can catch up on all the things I spent my time on and then take it further. I believe our march to freedom is a generational one. Those poking their heads up now and ones who have had them up for years may be frustrated in hearing that. But trust me, its more comforting than asking how we are going to turn this all around tomorrow.
Look down the road and if you don't see yourself there, find or create something or someone who will be. May your legacy be liberty and godspeed on your journey.
