I wanna live in a Post-Politician world, one without a bunch of corrupt scumbags that can end everything good in my life in an instant. Whether it be through war, famine, plagues now, there's no telling what these creeps can unleash on us next. Because of that, I'm not looking for anyone else to fill that role. If my neck is under the blade of the guillotine it doesn't matter so much to me who's holding the rope anymore.
From what I've gathered through the exposure to various elements: we are not meant to handle the power in which we give politicians. Feels like that Tolkien guy was on to something huh?
Humans can be unpredictable, some can shock you with their kindness, their self sacrifice, and I've seen a lot of it lately. I've seen people give to others in need here on this show and I thank you and love you all for that, but I still don't want you to be President...cuz I don't want one.
Why the fuck do we have to accept the current political setup if all it does is march us to certain annihilation?
Why would any of us agree to such a ludicrous proposition to allow such filth to prostitute themselves to companies and banks in our name for the purpose of subjugation, torture, and murder?
Why do we do it?
Cuz that's the way its always been right?
Wrong. It's not always been that way. Even here in America, which you can read more about that history at my friend Vince Agnelli's Substack.
No matter how fired up you all may be over a red wave, I remember Republicans have full control of everything before, it sucked then and it will suck if it happens again. Sorry, that's why I'm not a Republican. That's also why I can't believe in this system anymore.
There are many failures that can be pinned on the Republican Party for the last few decades but its not a really challenging to have a game of whack-a-mole when there's only one mole. People like to simplify things. Its natural. Most people can't handle complexity let alone multiple complexities at once so we dumb things down for ourselves. That, however is one of the many reasons that our current system fails us: The false dichotomy.
We're constantly presented with two wrong choices and we tell ourselves that we're picking the less wrong of the two. Perhaps we should tell ourselves to come up with some better options?
But that gets scary. How does that all work?
Opt out. Rescind your participation in the charade and build something else. It can be with the people and the structures that already stand but what it cannot be is another situation with power in the hands of a few. Certainly not one that aggresses upon us in such immoral ways as we currently experience.
If you want change to happen in your lifetime you can't wait around another 2 to 4 years for an election to happen, transfer your power to some schmuck, and then wait for him/her to free you from whatever situation you are in. You don't win the Daytona 500 by walking, that would take too damn long, you get your ass in a vehicle and press the pedal to the floor and try to hang on!
Our current system moves at horse and buggy speed because its too big to maneuver any other way. There are some heavyweights that can do backflips but they're probably not gonna be competing in the Olympics against 140 pounders. If you want to supercharge change in the world you have to push the ball to get it rolling. And just like any other thing that happens physically you start with rolling the smaller ones first.
Don't just go out and lift the heaviest stone in the yard, you start with the lighter ones to warm up and to build strength. If you stick to it the heavy ones won't be so heavy anymore. That's how it is in life, why would it be any different in politics?
I'm not here to rain on anyone's parade for participation in the mid-terms. Regardless if you decided to vote, campaign, donate, I'm glad that at least you chose participation because that will prepare you for the next phase of our nation, if we are to carry on as free people. We will need folks who have knowledge of the former infrastructure so that we can separate the parts that go in the keep pile and the others to the trash bin of political solutions.
After this mid-term hype is over and the next presidential election cycle begins let's focus on treating this country like an old house we're renovating to be more accommodating and more efficient for those we intend on passing it down to.
Amen
